Engagement Card

My cousin got engaged so I decided to send him and his fiance a congratulations card. I found the layout @ Sketch Frenzy Friday.

I used Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze, and Whisper White cardstock. The Designer Series paper is from Sweet Shop. The sentiment is from my new favorite stamp set, Loving Thoughts. The hearts are hanging from Calypso Coral Baker's Twine. I textured the cardstock with the heart folder from the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders and then punched out the Small Heart. I love the look of using the Labels Collection Framelit Dies. The design on the card based was made by wheeling the I {Love} Love Jumbo Wheel in Basic Gray.
Making pretty cards is nice, but I also like to decorate a coordinating envelope to put them in. Here is the envelope I made to go with this card.

Sympathy for a Friend

Unfortunately I was in need of a sympathy card. I found this layout @ Stampin 411. The card base is Not Quite Navy. The Designer Series Paper is from Paisley Petals. I also used Pear Pizzaz, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, and Cajun Craze cardstock. The "with sympathy" sentiment is from Loving Thoughts, the image under it is from Artistic Etchings, and the flower is Triple Treat Flower. I used Eyelet Border, Fancy Flower, 5-Petal Flower, and 1/2" Circle punches.

Clean & Simple

Hi All!

For today's card I took inspiration from Clean & Simple Stamping FTL 179. The challenge was to have a 1 layer card. I used the rocking technique on the stamped image from Day of Gratitude. I inked the entire stamp in Baja Breeze and then rocked the edges around the Wild Wasabi ink pad. The words are from the Loving Thoughts stamp set. That set is becoming one of my favorites. It seems to have whatever sentiment I'm looking for.

Just Because

Hello All! Lately I have been trying to use up the 2010-2012 In Colors since they will be retiring at the end of May. I got the sketch design for this card from The Paper Players. I used Confetti White for the card base, Concord Crush for the large layer, Pear Pizzaz for the middle layer, and Peach Parfait for the tag and inked image down the middle. I used the same image from the Circle Circus stamp set to add interest to the card base. The middle section was textured with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. The Peach Parfait label is punched from the Decorative Label punch. I punched a complete label out and stuck it to a sticky note so I could punch it again to make it smaller. I used the same technique on the "just because" with the Word Window punch. Sticky notes are very handy tools in your crafting area. The last item I used is Linen Thread on the label.

Morning Cup

Today's card qualifies for the Our Creative Corner, "Over the Edge" Challenge. The base of the card is Not Quite Navy. I cut it 4 1/4" X 8 1/2". I scored it in half and placed the Labels Collection Framelits Die on the score line. When I ran it through the Big Shot, I placed the edge of the cutting pad on the score line so only half the framelit was cut. To cut the 4" X 4" Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper, I used dotto repositional adhesive to adhear it to the side of the card that the cutting pad covered (the back of the card). I then switched the DSP to the front of the card. It's easier to do than to explain. : ) I punched a Pear Pizzaz cardstock ribbon with the Dotted Scalloped Ribbon Border. At the bottom of the card I used a punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack in Not Quite Navy with Basic Rhinestones in the middle. The stamp is from the Morning Cup stamp set colored in with Pear Pizzaz, Not Quite Navy, and Peach Parfait Stampin' Write Markers. This card will fit in a standard A2 envelope.

I Dig You Birthday

I had so much fun creating this card. I used the I Dig You stamp set. It was easy to make it different colors by using my Stampin' Write Markers. I added silver brads to the wheels. The rectangle on the right is textured with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder. This card works great for this week's Sweet Stampin' Challenge, masculine card.

Mint Chocolate Chip Anyone?

Isn't this the cutest little card? I cannot take credit for it. I got the idea here. I used the Petal Cone die in Crumb Cake. The texture is from Perfect Details texture plate. I sponged Crumb Cake ink over the texture to help it POP. The mint chocolate chip is Pear Pizzaz paper. The chips are one of the images from the Confetti stamp set. I think this card would be perfect to use as a gift tag for a birthday gift. I think I may experiment and turn it into a cupcake. Look for more coordinating projects to come!
